《凱吉一歲》發想自美國前衛作曲家約翰‧凱吉的音樂理念，三位不同領域的創作者，透過「解構、觀察、提問」，將展演空間打造為一座充滿遊戲興味的聲響實驗室，使聲音生成的過程透明化，重新思索「聲音」展演的可能性，及其與機械裝置、肢體表演、展演場域的互文對話; 同時打破演出者與觀眾的主從關係，令觀賞者亦成為作品中「不可預期性」的一部份。讓《凱吉一歲》引領我們觸摸、覺察、傾聽、發現、會心而笑。

Inspired by the music of the American avant-garde composer, John Cage, Dear John is an interdisciplinary collaborative project. Through means of “deconstructing, questioning, and discovering”, the collaborative team turned the performance space into a playful sound lab. Dear John fully reveals the process of sound-making, redefining the interpretative vocabulary and the physicality of sound in performing arts. It also challenges the power-relation between performers and audiences, inviting the audience to be the indispensable yet unpredictable part of the work. Let Dear John lead us to touch, feel, listen, explore, and smile on our discovery.
